Catanzaro Fruit expanded to include vegetables with Tony’s youngest son, Phil Catanzaro delivering by truck.
Catanzaro Produce continued to expand to mom and pop stores and Soulard Market on the weekends
Tony Catanzaro ran local Catanzaro Produce while son, Phil, was away working on a Navy ship in WWII
Phil Catanzaro’s youngest son, Phil, began working alongside his father to learn the business.
St. Louis Produce was established by father and son, Phil B. Catanzaro and Phil D. Catanzaro, servicing chain grocery stores with the first prepackaged produce in the St. Louis area
Tony Catanzaro and youngest son, Phil B. Catanzaro passed away leaving the business to grandson and son, Phil D. Catanzaro
Due to illness, Phil D. Carazaro turned business over to his sister, Josie, while he battled cancer with chemotherapy treatments until he returned back to work.
Phil D. Catanzaro, semi-retired, turned business over to grandson, Joshua Blassingame.
